How to set a WhatsApp business username

A WhatsApp business username is the public @handle customers can search. In AvenPing, open Settings → Username, pick the line, type a handle (or pick a suggestion), and click Claim username. Status can be reserved or approved.

Prerequisites

Step-by-step

  1. Open Username
Go to Settings → Username (under Platforms). Activate a line first if the page says you must.

  2. Pick the WhatsApp line
Use the line selector. Usernames are per line.

  3. Enter or pick a handle
Review Suggestions, or type in Username without the @. AvenPing strips extra @ characters.

  4. Claim username
Click Claim username. If the handle is already used by another number on your account, confirm the transfer when asked.

  5. Refresh or remove
Use refresh to reload status (reserved or approved). Remove username releases the handle from this line; you may not get the same name back.

WARNING

Usernames are a live Meta feature. Availability and approval are decided by WhatsApp, not AvenPing.

FAQ

What is the difference between reserved and approved?

Reserved means you claimed it and Meta is still processing. Approved means customers can use the @handle.

Can two lines share one username?

No. Each line has its own username. You can transfer a handle between numbers you own when Meta allows it.

Why was my claim rejected?

The format may be invalid, or Meta already assigned the name. Try a suggestion from the list.
