How to embed a WhatsApp chat button ​

A WhatsApp chat button is HTML you paste on a website so visitors start a WhatsApp chat. In AvenPing, open Dashboard, open WhatsApp Button (generate an embeddable website chat button), pick a number, set text and color, click Generate, then copy the snippet.

Prerequisites ​

  • An active WhatsApp number listed on the account.
  • Access to edit your website HTML or tag manager.

Step-by-step ​

  1. Open Dashboard
    Click Dashboard. Open WhatsApp Button.

  2. Choose the number and style
    Select the WhatsApp phone, set button text (default Chat on WhatsApp), color, and roundness.

  3. Click Generate
    Click Generate to build the HTML. The snippet uses https://app.avenping.com/wa?phone= plus your digits.

  4. Copy and paste
    Copy the code and paste it on your site. Click the live button to confirm WhatsApp opens.

TIP

Keep the button label short. Pair scans and buttons with a chatbot keyword if you want an automated greeting.

FAQ ​

Does this require the public API?

No. It is a click-to-chat link plus HTML. API tokens are not required.

Can I change the color later?

Yes. Change color or text in Dashboard, click Generate again, and replace the old snippet.

The button opens a blank chat

Confirm the selected phone is an active line and the HTML still contains that number.
