How to use the WhatsApp template library ​

A WhatsApp template library is a catalog of ready-made templates you can submit to Meta instead of writing one from scratch. In AvenPing the library UI filters Categories and Filter by Type, then Use Template. The live Broadcast → Templates page currently shows the table and Create Template only — there is no Template Library button yet.

Prerequisites ​

Step-by-step ​

  1. Open Templates
    Sign in at app.avenping.com. In the left sidebar, open Broadcast → Templates. Today you see the templates table and Create Template. If Template Library is not on the page, skip the rest of this article and use How to create a WhatsApp message template. When the library view is visible, continue below instead of opening Create Template.

  2. Filter by Categories
    On the left, under Categories, keep All Categories or pick an industry such as E-commerce & D2C Brands, Healthcare & Clinics, or Real Estate (Builder, Broker). Click the same industry again to clear it.

  3. Filter by Type
    Under Filter by Type, keep All Types or pick a type such as Welcome & Greeting, Marketing & Promotion, or Transactional & Notifications. Types that do not exist for the selected industry stay disabled.

  4. Search if needed
    Use the search field: Search templates by name, description, industry, type, or language.... The results line shows how many templates match. Click Clear all filters if the grid is empty.

  5. Review a card and click Use Template
    Each card shows the name, category badge (Marketing, Marketing Lite, Utility, or Authentication), language, description, and a preview. Click Use Template. While it runs, the button shows Creating....

  6. Wait for Meta approval
    AvenPing creates the template on your connected line and shows a success toast that you must wait for Meta approval. Return to the Templates table and wait until Status is APPROVED before campaigns or inbox sends.

TIP

Use Template copies the library item onto your line. It does not skip Meta review.

If no WhatsApp account is connected, AvenPing shows No WhatsApp account connected and Use Template stays disabled.

FAQ ​

Why do I not see Template Library on Broadcast → Templates?

The live page is the templates table and Create Template. There is no Template Library button in the current UI. Use Create Template until the library view is exposed.

Is a library template ready to send immediately?

No. After Use Template, Meta still has to approve it. Campaigns and inbox sends only list approved templates.

What do Categories and Filter by Type control?

Categories are industries (for example Education & Coaching Institutes). Filter by Type is the use case (for example Lead Capture & Qualification). They are not the Meta categories Marketing, Utility, or Authentication — those appear as badges on each card.

Can I edit a library template before I use it?

Use Template submits the library copy as-is. After it appears on Broadcast → Templates, open the row Edit action if the status allows changes, or create a new template from scratch.
