How to send a voice note in the inbox

A WhatsApp voice note is a recorded clip, not an uploaded audio file. In AvenPing, open a conversation while the 24-hour window is open, click the mic on the composer, record, then send. Allow microphone access in the browser.

Prerequisites

  • An open 24-hour customer service window.
  • A browser that can record (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari). Some browsers cannot produce a format Meta accepts.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the chat
Go to Messages and select a conversation with an open window.

  2. Click the mic
Click the microphone on the composer (not paperclip → Audio).

  3. Allow the microphone if asked
Grant browser permission. If recording fails, AvenPing may say the browser records voice notes in an unsupported format.

  4. Record and send
Record the clip, then send. You can cancel with the X before sending. To attach an existing file instead, use paperclip → Audio.

WARNING

Voice notes need an open session window, same as other free-form media.

FAQ

The mic does nothing

Check browser permission, use HTTPS, and confirm the 24-hour window is open. Try Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

Can I send a voice note when the window is closed?

No. Send an approved template instead, or wait for the contact to message you.

Is a voice note stored like other media?

Yes, it uploads through AvenPing’s media path and appears in the thread as a voice message.
