How to sync a WhatsApp catalogue from Google Sheets or Shopify ​

You can load catalogue products from a Google Sheet or open the Shopify data source in AvenPing. Open Catalogue, then under Data source choose Google Sheets or Shopify. Google Sheets uses Connect sheet and Sync now. Shopify currently shows Connect your Shopify store, Connect store, and a disabled Sync now — there is no store-field form in the UI.

Step-by-step ​

  1. Open Catalogue data sources
    Sign in at app.avenping.com. Click Catalogue. Under Data source, choose Google Sheets or Shopify. AvenPing (manual) is the third source for products you add by hand.

  2. Connect a Google Sheet
    On Google Sheets, if nothing is linked, you see Connect your Google Sheet. Click Connect sheet. Complete Google sign-in, then pick a spreadsheet in the picker. A success toast reads Google Sheet connected. You can sync now.

  3. Sync now and check columns
    Click Sync now. Products appear under From Google Sheet. The first row must include: id, title, description, link, image_link, condition, availability, price, and brand. If headers are missing, AvenPing reports Header validation failed. Missing required columns: plus the names. After a successful sync you can click Save to store the catalogue in AvenPing.

  4. Optional: add manual products on the Sheets panel
    On a connected Google Sheets panel you can still click Add product. Those cards sit under Manually added (with Edit / Delete). Sheet-synced cards under From Google Sheet have no edit actions.

  5. Open the Shopify panel
    Click Shopify under Data source. The panel heading is Shopify. Copy on the empty state: Connect your Shopify store and Link your Shopify store to import and sync products to your WhatsApp catalogue. Buttons are Connect store and Sync now. Sync now is disabled. There is no Shopify shop URL, API key, or column-mapping form in this panel.

TIP

Use display names such as Product name or Image link in the sheet header row if you prefer; AvenPing maps several aliases to the required keys.

WARNING

Do not invent Shopify connection fields. The current Shopify panel only shows Connect store and a disabled Sync now. Use Google Sheets or AvenPing (manual) when you need a working product list today.

FAQ ​

Which Google Sheet columns are required?

The required headers are id, title, description, link, image_link, condition, availability, price, and brand. Sync fails until that header row is present.

Can I edit products that came from the sheet?

Not on the From Google Sheet cards. Change the spreadsheet and click Sync now. Use Manually added (via Add product) for rows you manage in AvenPing.

Does Shopify sync products today?

The Shopify data source is visible. Sync now stays disabled, and the UI does not collect Shopify credentials or field maps. Use Google Sheets or AvenPing (manual) until store connect is available.
