How to connect WhatsApp Cloud API to BoldDesk ​

AvenPing shares Cloud API credentials with BoldDesk so helpdesk WhatsApp (Meta Cloud API) uses your existing line. Open Integrations, activate BoldDesk (badge Support), paste App ID, App Secret, and Access Token into BoldDesk Connect Account, then save BoldDesk’s Webhook URL and Webhook Token in AvenPing.

Step-by-step ​

  1. Open the BoldDesk card
    Sign in at app.avenping.com. Click Integrations. Find BoldDesk (badge Support, description BoldDesk WhatsApp Cloud API: App ID, secret, token, WABA and phone IDs.). Click Activate, or Configure if the card already shows Active. Follow Official setup (BoldDesk WhatsApp via Meta Cloud API).

  1. Set Share scope
    Under Share scope, choose Entire WhatsApp Business Account or Single phone number. Select WhatsApp Business Account. BoldDesk adds accounts by Phone Number ID, so Single phone number is the usual choice when you have more than one line.

  2. Verify App ID, secret, and token in BoldDesk
    Under Sending messages, copy App ID, App Secret, and Access Token. In BoldDesk, go to Admin → Market Place → WhatsApp (Meta Cloud API), click Connect Account / Configure, paste those three values, and click Verify and Continue. BoldDesk then shows Webhook URL and Webhook Token.

  3. Save BoldDesk’s webhook in AvenPing
    In AvenPing Receiving messages, paste BoldDesk’s Webhook URL into Callback URL (placeholder https://your-bolddesk-domain/whatsapp/webhook) and Webhook Token into Webhook Verify Token. Click Save (Webhook config saved), then Test. Success is Webhook connection succeeded.

  4. Add the WhatsApp account in BoldDesk
    In BoldDesk, open Admin → Chat → WhatsApp → Meta Cloud API → View Detail, click Add Account, and paste AvenPing WhatsApp Business Account ID and Phone Number ID. Complete Verify and Continue / Save in BoldDesk. Back in AvenPing, confirm Status Active. Use Pause / Resume to control forwarding. Regenerate app secret requires you to update App Secret in BoldDesk and verify again.

WARNING

BoldDesk integrates only with the WhatsApp Business Platform API. Do not expect the consumer WhatsApp Business app to share the same number. Sharing is blocked when AvenPing Status is Blocked (plan / credit line).

TIP

BoldDesk generates the webhook after Verify and Continue. Copy that URL into AvenPing instead of Meta’s developer console.

FAQ ​

What do I paste first — IDs or the webhook?

Paste App ID, App Secret, and Access Token first so BoldDesk can Verify and Continue. Then copy BoldDesk’s Webhook URL / Webhook Token into AvenPing. Add WhatsApp Business ID and Phone Number ID last on Add Account.

Why does Test fail?

BoldDesk must answer the webhook challenge with the Webhook Token you saved as Webhook Verify Token. Save on both sides, then click Test. Failure toasts Handshake did not return the challenge.

Can I add more than one BoldDesk number?

Yes. In AvenPing, pick Single phone number, save a callback per number, then Add Account in BoldDesk for each Phone Number ID. Extra shares appear in the AvenPing list as Number · {id}.
