How to create a WhatsApp limited time offer template ​

A WhatsApp limited time offer template is a Marketing message with an offer banner, optional countdown, a copyable code, and a URL. In AvenPing, set Template Type to Limited Time Offer, then put Copy Code at button index 0 and URL at index 1.

Step-by-step ​

  1. Open Create Template
    Sign in at app.avenping.com. Open Broadcast → Templates and click Create Template. Choose the line if you have more than one.

  2. Choose Marketing and Limited Time Offer
    In Basic Information, enter Template Name and Language. Set Category to Marketing. Set Template Type to Limited Time Offer. Optional: click Verification Rules.

  3. Set Header and Limited Time Offer
    Header supports Image or Video only (not text or document). Upload the header media. Under Limited Time Offer, enter Offer Text (max 16 characters) (placeholder example: Expiring offer!). Optionally tick Show expiration countdown in message.

  4. Write Body
    Fill Body (Required). Limited Time Offer body length is capped at 600 characters. Add example values for placeholders such as {{1}}.

  5. Add the two required buttons
    Click Add Button. AvenPing adds both required buttons: Copy Code first (index 0) and URL second (index 1). For Copy Code, enter Copy Code Value (sample offer code, max 15 characters). For URL, enter the link. Exactly two buttons are required.

  6. Submit and wait for Meta approval
    Check the live preview, then click Create Template. Wait until the Templates table shows APPROVED before you use Create Campaign.

WARNING

Limited Time Offer templates require Copy Code at index 0 and URL at index 1. Other button types are not allowed for this template type.

TIP

Keep offer text short. Offer Text maxes out at 16 characters, and the Copy Code sample maxes out at 15.

FAQ ​

Can I add Quick Reply buttons to a Limited Time Offer?

No. This type allows only Copy Code then URL. The form blocks extra buttons.

Can I use a text or document header?

No. Limited Time Offer headers are Image or Video only. AvenPing switches an invalid format back to Image.

When is the expiration countdown shown?

Only if you tick Show expiration countdown in message. You set the actual expiration when you send the template, not in this create form.
