How to connect WhatsApp Cloud API to Odoo ​

AvenPing shares the WhatsApp Cloud API line you already connected so Odoo can send and receive on it. Open Integrations, activate the Odoo card (badge ERP), copy Sending messages fields into Odoo WhatsApp Business Accounts, then paste Odoo’s Callback URL and Webhook Verify Token back into AvenPing.

Step-by-step ​

  1. Open the Odoo card
    Sign in at app.avenping.com. Click Integrations. Find Odoo (badge ERP, description Paste Cloud API credentials into Odoo WhatsApp Business Accounts.). Click Activate, or Configure if the card already shows Active.

  1. Set Share scope
    Under Share scope, choose Entire WhatsApp Business Account or Single phone number. Select WhatsApp Business Account. If you chose a single number, also select Phone number. Inbound webhooks are filtered to this scope. If no WABAs appear, connect a WABA first; the page shows No WhatsApp Business Accounts found. Connect a WABA first, then refresh this page.

  2. Copy sending credentials into Odoo
    Under Sending messages, copy App ID, App Secret, Phone Number ID, WhatsApp Business Account ID, and Access Token. In Odoo, go to WhatsApp app → Configuration → WhatsApp Business Accounts, click New, and paste:

    • Phone Number ID → Odoo Phone
    • Access Token → Odoo Token
    • App ID → Odoo App ID
    • WhatsApp Business Account ID → Odoo Account ID
    • App Secret → Odoo App Secret
      Click Odoo Test Connection. Follow Official setup on the AvenPing page (Odoo WhatsApp documentation) if a field name differs in your Odoo version.

  3. Save Odoo’s webhook in AvenPing
    After Test Connection, Odoo fills Callback URL and Webhook Verify Token under Receiving Messages. In AvenPing Receiving messages, paste those values into Callback URL (placeholder https://your-odoo-domain.com/whatsapp/webhook/) and Webhook Verify Token. Click Save (Webhook config saved), then Test. Success is Webhook connection succeeded. If the handshake fails, you see Handshake did not return the challenge.

  4. Confirm status and keep tokens in sync
    Status shows Active, Paused, Inactive, or Blocked (plan / credit line). Use Pause / Resume to stop or restart forwarding. If you click Regenerate app secret, copy the new App Secret into Odoo and run Test Connection again.

WARNING

Sharing is blocked when Status is Blocked (plan / credit line). Pause only stops webhook forwarding; the copied Access Token stays valid.

TIP

Paste Odoo’s generated webhook into AvenPing, not into Meta’s developer console. AvenPing already owns the Cloud API connection.

FAQ ​

Which Odoo screen do I paste into?

WhatsApp app → Configuration → WhatsApp Business Accounts → New. Map AvenPing Phone Number ID, Access Token, App ID, WhatsApp Business Account ID, and App Secret to Odoo Phone, Token, App ID, Account ID, and App Secret.

Why does Test fail after I save?

Odoo must answer Meta’s webhook challenge with the same Webhook Verify Token. Save the callback on both sides, then click Test again. Success is Webhook connection succeeded.

What does Pause do?

Pause stops webhook forwarding to Odoo. Sending with the copied Access Token is unchanged. Click Resume to forward again (Share resumed).
