How to format WhatsApp message copy

WhatsApp formatting uses visible markers (bold, italic, strike, monospace) in the text you send. In AvenPing, open Dashboard → Message Formatter, type copy, click Bold, Italic, Strike, or Code, then Copy text and paste into a template body or inbox message.

Prerequisites

  • Copy you want to paste into Broadcast → Templates or Messages.
  • No special plan gate; this is a Dashboard helper.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Message Formatter
Go to Dashboard and open Message Formatter (prepare formatted copy for campaigns and templates).

  2. Write the text
Type in the box (Write campaign or template copy here...).

  3. Apply formatting
Click Bold, Italic, Strike, or Code. Markers stay visible so you can paste them into WhatsApp.

  4. Copy text
Click Copy text. Paste into a template Body, a campaign variable, or Type a message.

TIP

Enter text before clicking a format button. Empty text shows Enter some message text first.

FAQ

Will customers see the asterisks?

WhatsApp renders the markers as bold/italic in the app. You still see the markers in AvenPing so you know what will be sent.

Can I format template variables?

Yes. Format the surrounding copy, then keep {{1}} placeholders intact so Meta still accepts the template.

Is this the same as inbox formatting?

It is a helper. The inbox composer sends whatever you paste; WhatsApp clients apply the markers.
