How to share a location in the inbox ​

A WhatsApp location message is a map pin you send in an open session. In AvenPing, open Messages, click the paperclip, choose Location, pick a place in the location picker, then send.

Prerequisites ​

  • An open 24-hour window. Location is grouped with session media on the paperclip.
  • Browser location or a searchable address in the picker.

Step-by-step ​

  1. Open the conversation
    Go to Messages and select the chat.

  2. Click paperclip → Location
    Location appears with Image, Video, Audio, and Document while the window is open.

  3. Pick a place
    Use the location picker to search or drop a pin.

  4. Send the location
    Confirm send. The contact sees a WhatsApp location card.

TIP

For a store address you send often, save it as a chatbot Location node or a quick reply with the address text. Inbox Location is for one-off pins.

FAQ ​

Location is missing from the paperclip

The 24-hour window is closed or the contact is blocked. Reopen with a template, or unblock first.

Can I request the customer’s location?

Yes, in a chatbot with Request Location (Action). Inbox Location sends your pin; it does not ask the customer for theirs.

Does this use a template?

No. It is a session message, not a Meta-approved template.
