How to send media from the inbox
WhatsApp session media is an image, video, audio file, or document you send inside the 24-hour customer service window. In AvenPing, open a conversation in Messages, click the paperclip, then choose Image, Video, Audio, or Document. Add a caption if you want, then send.
Prerequisites
- An open 24-hour window (the contact messaged you recently). See How to message when the 24-hour window is closed.
- A file within WhatsApp size and type limits.
Step-by-step
Open the conversation
Go to Messages and select the chat.Open the paperclip
Click the paperclip. Image, Video, Audio, and Document appear only while the window is open.Choose a type and file
Pick Image, Video, Audio, or Document, then select the file. Preview it in the composer.Add a caption (optional) and send
The caption field says Add a caption.... Send the message. If the window is closed, AvenPing shows that media can only be sent when the 24-hour messaging window is open.
TIP
Voice notes use the mic, not Audio. Location is a separate paperclip item. See those tutorials if that is what you need.
FAQ
Why are Image, Video, Audio, and Document missing?
The 24-hour window is closed, or the contact is blocked. When the window is closed, the paperclip opens Templates instead.
Can I send media in a campaign?
Broadcast campaigns send approved templates, not free-form inbox files. Put media in a template header if Meta allows that type.
What is the difference between Audio and a voice note?
Audio is a file from the paperclip. A voice note is recorded with the mic and sent as WhatsApp voice.
