How to update your WhatsApp Business profile
Your WhatsApp Business profile is what customers see in WhatsApp. In AvenPing, open Profile in the sidebar, pick the line if you have more than one, click Edit Profile, change About, Description, websites, Address, and Email, then Save Updates.
Prerequisites
- An active WhatsApp line. See How to activate WhatsApp lines and set a primary line.
- Permission to edit Profile (admins). Agents may not see this nav item.
Step-by-step
Open Profile
Sign in and click Profile in the left sidebar (not Settings). If you have multiple lines, select the line whose public profile you want to change.Click Edit Profile
Click Edit Profile to unlock the fields.Update the fields Meta allows
Edit About, Description, website fields, Address, and Email. Business Name (display name) is shown but disabled here because Meta controls display-name changes.Save Updates
Click Save Updates. Changes sync to WhatsApp for that line. Confirm them in the WhatsApp Business app or a customer chat header.
TIP
Keep About short. Put longer copy in Description. Use https URLs for websites.
FAQ
Why can’t I change Business Name?
Display name is a Meta-reviewed field. AvenPing shows it as read-only on Profile. Change it in Meta Business settings if Meta allows an update.
Does Profile apply to every line?
No. Each line has its own profile. Pick the line first when you have more than one.
Profile is missing from the sidebar
Some accounts hide WhatsApp Profile nav. You still manage the line from Settings → WhatsApp. Contact support if Profile should be visible.
