How to send a template from a WhatsApp chatbot

Drag Send Template from Message Blocks. Pick an approved template and map placeholders. This is the usual after-hours automation path when a free-form Message node would fail.

Prerequisites

• An approved template on the line. See How to create a WhatsApp message template.
• A chatbot in the builder. See How to build a WhatsApp chatbot.

Step-by-step

1. Open the chatbot
   Open Automation → Chatbots. Edit the flow.

2. Drag Send Template
   Components → Message Blocks → Send Template. Connect it after Start or a delay.

3. Pick the template
   In the sidebar, choose the template. Preview if the node offers show template preview.

4. Map variables
   Fill template variables from contact attributes or session variables (Ask Question, Form, API).

5. Save and test
   Save, then Test on Mobile.

TIP

Use a text Message node only inside the 24-hour window. Use Send Template when the session may be closed.

WARNING

Unapproved templates cannot be sent. Wait for Meta APPROVED.

Is this the same as inbox paperclip Templates?

Same Meta templates, different surface. Inbox is manual. The node is automatic.
