How to preview a WhatsApp template ​

Preview a WhatsApp template before you send it so you can check header, body, buttons, and sample variables. In AvenPing, open Broadcast → Templates, then choose Preview on the row or click the row to open Template Preview.

Step-by-step ​

  1. Open Templates
    Sign in at app.avenping.com. In the left sidebar, open Broadcast → Templates.

  2. Find the template
    Use Search templates... if the list is long. Check Template Name, Language, Category, and Status (APPROVED, PENDING, or REJECTED).

  3. Open Preview from the row menu
    Open the three-dot menu on the row and click Preview. A side panel titled Template Preview opens.

  4. Or click the template row
    Click the row itself. AvenPing opens the same Template Preview panel.

  5. Review the layout
    Check header, body, footer, buttons, carousel cards, or Limited Time Offer content. Placeholders such as {{1}} show as sample text in the preview.

  6. Preview while creating
    When you click Create Template, the create modal shows a live preview on the right as you edit. That preview is not a send.

TIP

Preview does not send a WhatsApp message. To send an approved template, use a campaign or the inbox template send.

FAQ ​

Does preview send the template to a contact?

No. Preview and Template Preview only show the layout. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp.

Can I preview more than one template at once?

No. Open one Template Preview panel at a time. Close it, then preview another row.

Do variables show real contact data?

No. Preview uses sample values. Map real attributes later on Configure Variables when you create a campaign.
